Summer Fun

Wow, it's almost halfway through summer already! Here are some things you can do to make summer last, until that pesky schooltime comes around.

-To be honest, you can actually get a lot of reasonable ideas from Phineas and Ferb. Just... don't try to build a rollercoaster without your parents' permission.

-Go to a water park, or an amusement park with some water rides. Nothing feels more refreshing than sliding through Journey to Atlantis at Seaworld.

-If your friend has a birthday in the summer, get a wicked awesome present for them, make one yourself, or throw a surprise party for them! Your friend will be ecstatic when they see how much you care about them.

-If YOUR birthday is in the summer, like me, then you obviously want the above to happen! Just for backup, start planning your birthday party. Kids are most interested with pool parties and things like that in the summer. Also, really use the presents you get. They could come in handy one day.

-Try new things. Learn how to play instruments, learn another language, play a sport you're not sure if you'll like, and try new foods. You never know what you'll like unless you try it!

-If you have a real passion for something, start incorporating it into your many summer activities. Maybe, while you're waiting for your dance class to start, you can draw in your sketchbook. Or maybe, when you're getting ready for your swimming lesson, you can perfect your singing skills!

-Go on trips! Get out of your room and go do something out of your safe zone. I don't mean go bungee-jumping. I mean travel with your family to another state, or another country, even!

-Don't forget about your friends! Chances are, if you have no plans, they won't have very many plans, either. Go hang out with them, or have a sleepover.

If you try these things, you're bound to conquer summer. Carpe diem, as they say, before it's too late, SEIZE THE DAY.
